Different types of NC machine tools have different uses. Before replacing the NC machine tools, you should have an understanding of their types, specifications, performance, characteristics, uses and application scopes before you can choose the most suitable NC machine tool for processing parts. According to the characteristics of CNC machining and a large number of domestic and foreign application practices, CNC machine tools are usually the most suitable for machining parts with the following characteristics.

1. Multi-variety, small-batch production parts or parts in new product trial production. With the gradual reduction of the manufacturing cost of CNC machine tools, whether it is domestic or foreign, the situation of processing large quantities of parts has also appeared. In the case of single-piece production, if the program debugging time and tooling preparation time can be shortened, it can also be replaced.

2. The shape is complex, the processing precision is high, the manufacturing precision is high, the tool setting is accurate, and the size compensation can be conveniently performed. The parts that cannot be processed by general-purpose machine tools or difficult to guarantee the processing quality.

3. Parts with small surface roughness. In the case where the material of the workpiece and the tool, the finishing allowance and the tool angle are constant, the surface is scheduled to be cut and fed. The speed is different. For example, the CNC lathe has a constant line speed cutting function. The same line speed can be used when the outer diameter of the two ends of the car is different, and the surface roughness is small and consistent. The surface with a small degree has a small selective feed rate, and the surface with a large displacement replaces a larger feed rate with good variability, which is difficult to achieve in ordinary machine tools.

4. Complex contour shapes. Any plane curve can be approximated by a straight line or a circular arc. The CNC machine tool has a circular interpolation function, which can process various complex contour parts.

5. It is difficult to measure, difficult to control the feed, difficult to control the size of the housing or box-shaped parts without opening the inner cavity.

6. Milling, boring, countersinking, reaming or tapping must be completed in one clamping.

7. Key components that are expensive and can be scrapped during processing.

8. Urgently needed parts requiring the shortest production cycle.
